Cancellation Policy

This Cancellation Policy applies to purchases made from MedAlert, a brand of Cillix-Co Pty Ltd, in South Africa.

Order Cancellations Before Dispatch

Orders may be cancelled before dispatch by contacting us at info@smartmedalertid.co.za as soon as possible.

If the order has not yet been processed, personalised, encoded, activated, packed, or dispatched, a full refund may be issued to the original payment method.

Orders Already Processed or Dispatched

If an order has already been processed for fulfilment, personalised, encoded, activated, packed, or dispatched, cancellation may no longer be possible.

In such cases, the order will be dealt with in terms of our Returns & Refunds Policy.

Personalised or Activated Products

Orders for personalised, custom-made, encoded, linked, or activated products cannot be cancelled once production, setup, activation, or custom processing has started.

This includes MedAlert products prepared specifically for an individual customer or profile.

Online Cooling-Off Rights

Where applicable under South African law, customers may have a statutory right to cancel certain online transactions within the prescribed period after receiving the goods or services, subject to any legal exclusions or exceptions, including custom-made or personalised goods.

Refunds for Cancelled Orders

If a cancellation is approved, any refund due will be processed to the original payment method within 7 to 10 business days, unless a different period applies under law. Where cancellation takes place under a statutory right, the applicable legal refund period will apply. The Consumer Protection Act summary published by the dtic notes that suppliers must return payments within 15 business days after receiving a valid cancellation notice in the relevant context.
